SaMcast 005/Milk Milk Lemonade

The plan is that Adam and Mike come up with three things each to talk about. The hope is that the conversation expands beyond the list. The result is something to listen to.

Enjoy responsibly.

Adam's Picks
  • Son of the Congo - Professional basketball player, Serge Ibaka, returns to his home country of the Congo with the hope of helping a community rattled by violence.
  • "2014 Forest Hills Drive" - (Spotify link) - 2014 Forest Hills Drive is the third studio album by American hip hop recording artist J. Cole. Adam slept on this one for a minute but he fixed that. He recommends checking out, G.O.M.D..
  • LEGO Fusion - LEGO Fusion is a new play experience that combines traditional LEGO brick play with familiar app-based game themes for a Sim-styled toy/video game kind of thing.

Mike's Picks
  • Daredevil - This is as good a comic book adaptation I've seen. It's surprisingly violent, but the tone really fits the Frank Miller run from the 80's.
  • The Slurve - - The term is a portmanteau (ugh -ed.) of the words "slider" and "curve". The Slurve is a daily email newsletter where they aim to give you one original take each day, along with all the best writing and most important news: every team, every day. As a more-than-casual baseball fan this is right up my alley.
  • Killer Mike's video for "Ric Flair" - A brand new video for a song from his 2011 album "Pledge", Killer Mike uses some great bit of Ric Flair's inspired ranting and raving. The song is good but the video is a whole other (awesome) thing.

The drinks
  • Adam is enjoying a Bells Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity. - Part of the Bells Brewery Planets Series, Jupiter is brewed with seven different varieties of malt and hopped for a balanced bitterness, this Imperial Brown Ale has bready, biscuity, toasty notes along with light chocolate and roast flavors.
  • Mike tipped a little of the hard stuff with a glass of Herradura Tequila Aņejo. - Tequila Herradura Aņejo achieves its smooth taste through its long aging period in white oak barrels. It really does taste like candy.
