The plan is that Adam and Mike come up with three things each to talk about. The hope is that the conversation expands beyond the list. The result is something to listen to.

Enjoy responsibly.

Adam's Picks
  • Witcher 3 (Steam link) - The Witcher is a story-driven, next-generation open world role-playing game, set in a visually stunning fantasy universe, full of meaningful choices and impactful consequences. In The Witcher, you play as Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter tasked with finding a child from an ancient prophecy.

  • Mad Max: Fury Road - (IMDB link) - In a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, two rebels just might be able to restore order: Max, a man of action and of few words, and Furiosa, a woman of action who is looking to make it back to her childhood homeland..

  • The Girl On The Train - The "girl on the train" is Rachel, who commutes into London and back each day, rolling past the backyard of a happy-looking couple she names Jess and Jason. Then one day Rachel sees "Jess" kissing another man. The day after that, Jess goes missing.

Mike's Picks
  • "Maggie May" by Rod Stewart - From his 1971 solo album Every Picture Tells a Story, this is the single that put Rod Stewart on the pop music map. It's a radio song from when Mike was a little kid so he's got a soft spot for it. Young man, older woman, and he's kind of waking up to the idea that this isn't going to be a long term thing.

  • "Stay With Me" - The Faces - - Also from 1971, this is from The faces 3rd album, A Nod Is As Good As A Wink To A Blind Horse (English humour! - ed.) this was another huge radio song. The band was well-known by this point for their crazy 70's style rock and roll shit, so this song is about, "hey, yeah, we'll do it and stuff and please hang out for a bit but once I doze off you need to split". Horrible now, I guess, but it was funny at the time.

  • "Hot Legs" -Rod Stewart - From Rod Stewart's 1977 solo album Foot Loose & Fancy Free, this is some dirty, sleazy, proto-Georgia Satellites, southern-style rock and roll with a decidedly weird video. Mike cannot recommend it more highly.

  • Mike couldn't leave well-enough alone so he wanted to be sure you saw at least two more Rod Stewart videos: 1)Tonight I'm Yours- this is the kind of thing Action Bronson should be covering for videos instead of that dumb Coming to America thing. You can't go wrong with a hotel pool filled with models. 2) Do Ya Think I'm Sexy- it's generally ridiculous but goes hard with a big time sax solo but never actually shows a sax player. There is also some key whispered lyrics at the end. Worthwhile.

The drinks
  • Adam is enjoying a Grapefruit Sculpin . - Ballast Point makes fine beers and this one is delicious.
  • Mike got stoked on a bottle of Genesis Blonde Sour. - Wicked Weed's Genesis is brewed with over 200 lbs of Mango, Papaya, Guava and Pineapple and aged for 6-12 months in a variation of white wine barrels. Wicked Weed never disappoints.
